Subject: Custom settings from Desktop policy cannot be removed
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Administration
Technical Area: User Interface
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.1
Reproducible: Always

Hi all
I have used the setting "UseBasicNotes=1" in the global policy for all users at a company, to hold the interface the old way untill we were ready to give them the Eclipse version.

When I remove this setting from the policy, the setting is still enforced at the users workstations.
If I remove the "UseBasicNotes" line from a client Notes.ini, it is applyed again the next time client launches Notes - though it is no longer in users policy.

I can set the "UseBasicNotes=0" in Custom Settings in Global Desktop setting document, but I would rather remove this line completely.
